Because growth shouldn't cost us what we love about this place
Clark County Has A Housing Problem
Depending on where you're standing, it looks like rent that takes too much of your paycheck, a first home that keeps moving out of reach, or a person sleeping in a car on a street you drive every day.
The truth is, it's all the same problem.
We don't have enough affordable housing - and when I say affordable, I don’t just mean for the people most visibly struggling. I’m talking about teachers, first responders, the people who grew up here and want to stay - they can’t afford starter homes, and there aren't enough of them even if they could.
Clark County is growing, and this problem isn't going away.
That means we need to find every creative solution and partnership available to increase our housing supply and make things more affordable — not build more million-dollar homes on the outskirts of town, far from jobs and transit.
And I’ve got some ideas on how to do it.

I’m an urban farmer, a mother, and the only working-class person in my race, and I’m running to protect the future of working families in Clark County.
Most of us want the same things.
- A place to live that doesn't price out the people who built this community.
- Neighbors who are sleeping outside to have a real path forward.
- Roads and transit that are safe and accessible for everyone, no matter how you get where you’re going
- Farmland, clean water, and green space that's still here in 20 years.
- A county that's straight with people about what it's doing and why.
Here's how we get there together
Make funding decisions through an affordability lens
Every time the county considers a major investment, we should be asking: does this make it more affordable to live here? I want that built into how we operate.
Protect our land and water
Our water, farmland, and green spaces make this place worth living in, which is why I will ban data centers and adopt Vancouver’s tree canopy policy countywide.
Make growth pay its own way
Developers profit from growth in Clark County while residents pay for the roads, parks, and services that make it possible. Impact fees aren’t keeping pace.
Build homes people can afford
More homes where people actually live, work, and take the bus: faster permits, lower fees, community land trusts, and infill over sprawl.
Get people housed
The homelessness crisis is driven by rising housing costs and cuts to federal funding. Our response has to be data-driven and treat people with dignity.
Build transportation that works for everyone
Whether you drive, take the bus, or ride a bike, getting around Clark County should be safe and reliable. I want to invest in roads, transit, and bike infrastructure that get everyone where they need to go.
